Dismantling the Empire: In Defense of Incoherence and Intersectionality

When I think about fat and intersectionality, I realize how much my experience of fat as an identity is as complex and layered as my physical experience of fat itself. My fat rests under my skin, covers and weaves between my muscles and bones, stretches and pulls over and around my frame, pushing out here, dripping down there.
