In this paper, we present an analysis of interview data collected for a collaborative research project titled Through Thick and Thin. In this project we explored the embodied experiences of folk who make up assemblages of queer sexualities, gender expressions, and other privileged or minoritized identifications (race, Indigeneity, class, and age, to name a few) in confrontation with weight stigma, expectations around eating and exercise, and pathologization. We took an intentionally intersectional approach to data collection as we aimed hear from participants with diverse experiences.
