Imagining new accessible worlds

Testing and demonstrating new things

I’ve increased the size of the H4, H5 and H6 heading sizes. Please note, you can also change the size of your headings by adjusting the block typography -> size.

Heading 2 Default

Heading 3 Default

Heading 4 Default

Heading 5 Default
Heading 6 Default

It is really similar in terms of functionality and what you can do with it. You can also still select your headings (yay). Make sure to “enable accordion” when you are using it.

Change this text! Add icons, more text, lists, etc. Anything that should be collapsed. The rea more block can help make page lengths and reading more digestable, by giving readers the option to dive deeper for more information.

Content within this block should not be essential to understanding the content it is next to or around.

Replacing the “Read More”

The “Details” block is fantastic for replacing the “Read More” section that we created which you can see in action above. I like this because you can also tuck media and such in here.

“Pull quotes” are not really quotes at all. They are text that you would like to highlight within your content, something that helps pull the audience in or easily understand key points if skimming. This is from a pattern.

Aenean et tortor at risus viverra adipiscing at in tellus.

In disability studies, we have the saying that nobody is able-bodied – everyone is temporarily able-bodied, because if you live long enough, you’ll become disabled. This is a pattern that has increased padding.

This is the default that is just the box. I honestly wouldn’t alter the padding inside of this container.

A line drawing by Allison Tunis of community member and writer, Phillip Barragán, his partner, and friends at an accessibility conference. Phillip is using a power chair, two friends are using mobility scooters, and two are standing. The image shows disabled and able-bodied people living their lives and engaging in everyday fun.
